This course was founded in 1930 and has been a popular tract for locals and visitors ever since. It is a nine-hole course but when played twice stretches to over 6, 000-yards. If you needed further proof that it was to be no walkover, it boasts a healthy par of 72. The club is currently reviewing plans to extend the course to make it a full 18-hole test.
As you would expect from the par of 72, there are a wide variety of challenges, including long par fours, short-ish par threes and par fives that will test your patience to the limit. Palleg is a friendly club and one well worth visiting on a trip to South Wales.
