Old Padeswood is a proprietary Golf Club, located just 3 miles off the A55 expressway leading into North Wales. Golf was first played here in 1909. The course is situated in the picturesque Alyn Valley of Flintshire, with one of the most difficult opening holes in North Wales. It can stretch to nearly 7,000-yards from its back tees, so those who fancy a real championship-standard challenge can enjoy its delights. Aside from the wonderful views of the Moel Fammau and the Clwydian countryside, the main focus here is the variety of the holes. The greens are always well looked after and provide for a quite inviting array of shots from 90-yards in.
The short 18th requires a carry all the way to the green and those who come up short will find the attractive, card-wrecking valley below.
