Founded in the late 1880s by Sir Richard William Bulkeley, this course, as rumours has it, was only playable by friends and invited guests until 1950. After that it began to welcome members and has developed into one of the most popular places for a game in north Wales.
Situated on mature heathland and totally devoid of any bunkers, the challenge at Baron Hill is right before you on every tee, although there are plenty of trees bordering the fairways and the odd, lurking gorse bush which can be quite a threat. It is undoubtedly one of the finest nine-hole tests Wales has to offer.
