THE ANNUAL Irish Girls U18 Stroke Play Championship was won by Wales Girls this year, securing one of their best-ever victories.
Pontyclun's Ffion Tynan was second in the individual event, with Newport's Carys Worby 13th and Isle of Wedmore's Harriet Lockley finishing third.
Wales Golf director of performance Gillian O'Leary said: "This is a great win for our girls, with their individual performances combining to take the team event in a high quality field."
