You'll struggle to get better value for money than here - whether it's nine or 18 holes you are playing! The pay-and-play course opened in 1996 and has been popular ever since, with visitors making up about 30 per cent of the traffic on the course.

The fifth, a par-4 which has a lake on it, is probably the best hole on the course. Tyddyn Mawr is in the village of Llanrug, which is just three miles from historic Caernarfon with its castle. The university city of Bangor is close by, too, as is the Menai Strait. So, if you are visiting any of these places, then why not enjoy some great value for money at Tyddyn Mawr.
